Can you convert mov to mp4 on Windows 11?

Hello, guys! I have a problem recently and would like to ask for advice. I have a bunch of MOV videos exported from iPhone (Apple really likes to use this format 😅), but when I put them on my Windows 11 computer, it’s a hit-or-miss situation. Some apps don’t even recognize the format!, or they can play but they are very stuck, and there are always compatibility issues when sharing them with friends.

I want to convert  MOV to MP4, after all, MP4 is more universal, but I tried several methods, either full of ads, or with watermarks after conversion, and some operations are so complicated that I doubt my life... Does anyone know a reliable tool or method? It would be best if it is simple, free is better, but I can accept spending a little money as long as the effect is good!

Anyone knows a tool or method that works well? Bonus points if you’ve personally used it and can vouch for the quality! Thanks in advance! 😊

  • I’ve been in the same boat with those pesky MOV files from my iPhone—they just don’t play nice on Windows apps sometimes! I ended up using this tutorial (https://www.uumeo.com/mov-to-mp4), and it made my life so much easier. It’s straightforward, no ads or watermarks, and the quality is spot on—I’ve been using it ever since!

When it comes to converting MOV to MP4 in Windows 11 PC. MOV and MP4 can use different codecs. If you're not mindful about the codecs you pick during the conversion, you might end up with video that doesn’t play right. So, make sure you’re converting using a common codec like H.264 for video and AAC for audio. If your MOV file is large, the MP4 might end up being huge too if you're not careful. Adjust the settings to keep the file at a manageable size if needed, especially if you're planning on uploading it anywhere.

Seriously, always keep a backup of your original MOV files. You never know if things will go sideways during conversion, and you don’t wanna lose your precious footage.
