Can i still update Internet Explorer from 7 to 9?
Im running Vista64 I have tried and went to many links i finally ran into an installer that says i need a update before installing 9 and then the update page says it doesnt support anymore. From what ive been reading alot of my issues downloading and installing software has something to do with not having Internet Explorer 9.

The message you're getting about needing an update before installing IE9, and then the update page saying it's no longer supported, is exactly what you should expect. You're trying to install software that's no longer compatible with your operating system.

Internet Explorer 9 required certain prerequisite updates to be installed on Windows Vista before it could be installed. These updates might no longer be easily available through the standard Windows Update channels for Vista.

Older versions of Internet Explorer (like IE8, which is the highest version natively supported by Vista without updates) use outdated security protocols (like older versions of TLS/SSL). Modern websites, software installers, and update servers require newer, more secure protocols (like TLS 1.2) to establish secure connections. Without these, the connection fails, preventing downloads and installations.
