Can I dump Windows 11 and get a copy of Windows 10 instead?
Hi folks,
I come from a PC desktop with Win8.1 pro, which is way out of date, but our laptops all use Windows 10 pro. Since updating to Windows 11 Home on my desktop PC, my life has become a living nightmare. I have so many problems I can't even count them.
I can't access the SAMBA USB Share on my Asus Router with Windows 11
My mouse pointer keeps disappearing every few minutes
The computer keeps beeping at me at least three or four times an hour for no apparent reason. (Event viewer references some WMServer thing without any explanation on what it is).
My USB mouse keeps going dark (laser keeps turning off) and I have to change to another USB port at least 5 times a day. I finally solved the USB port thing. It took me two hours to go through every power saving setting I could find. There was about 30 of them that had to be unchecked and I think I finally found the last one.
Accessing anything on any shared folder, drive, or computer is impossible, and even if I get it to work, it will stop working within a day or two.
This is utterly F8ing ridiculous. Windows 11 is a nightmare..
So what I want to know.. If I get on ebay and purchase a sealed copy of Windows 10 Pro, can I still get whatever updates are available downloaded from Microsoft?
Windows 8.1 started causing problems as things like Firefox didn't work well with it.. but even that was better than this Windows 11 garbage. I understand that I have to learn where all the new functions are and deal with the user interface changes, its a headache, but I'd get used to it.. But the operating system doesn't operate correctly, nothing works and I've spent way too much time messing with it trying to make it work. I think Microsoft and all their security crap has shot themselves in the foot.
