I have the same "camera works and disappears, not stable" issue with the integrated webcam on my YOGA C640-13IML. Mine is a hardware problem. If I am lucky, by squeezing the bezel just to the right of the webcam as you look at the screen, I can persuade it to stay on long enough to have a 30 min video call. But for the most part I have worked around this by using an external webcam.
(I had this problem repaired once under warranty but it recurred when my C640 was around 4 years old. I watched this video on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1284210695341103 - and decided not to attempt any hardware repair myself 😂)
