Camera app shows error "0xA00F4244 NoCamerasAreAttached"

Hello, I am facing an issue with the Camera app on my HP 15s eq 2xx2 au series laptop running Windows 11 Insider. Whenever I try to open the Camera app, it shows the error message “0xA00F4244 NoCamer...

That error usually means Windows can’t detect your webcam at all — either the driver’s missing, disabled, or blocked by privacy settings. Try this:

  1. Device Manager → Cameras / Imaging devices → right-click your camera → Enable device (or Update driver → Search automatically).
  2. If it’s not listed, click View → Show hidden devices or reinstall the HP Camera / Realtek driver from HP’s support page for your model.
  3. Also check Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → make sure apps are allowed to access it.

After reinstalling the driver, reboot — that usually clears the “0xA00F4244 NoCamerasAreAttached” error.
