Bulk change icons?
Hi, Now that I have my desktop icon issue fixed I still have allot of one's previously created by Firefox that need updated to match. Is there a bulk way of going about this without having to do one at a time? I did a search on the web but the articles are either really old or just don't apply to what I want to do.
I did have a thought, if I were to switch browsers and make that one the default it will change all the icons but will it change to a universal icon if I switch back to Firefox?
Thanks so much
Richard
You are talking about a situation where you have a lot of icons created by Firefox and you want to update them in batches to match the new settings. There are actually some ways to do this in batches, but there is no such a "perfect" one-click solution. Here are a few possible methods:
Method 1: Manually change icons in batches
Although it is not completely automated, you can batch change some icons in the following way to reduce repetitive operations:- Select multiple shortcuts: Hold down the Ctrl key and click multiple shortcuts whose icons need to be changed.
- Right-click and select "Properties".
- Click **"Change Icon"** under the "Shortcut" tab.
- Select the icons you want, click **"OK", and then click "Apply".
- Although this is not automated, it at least allows you to select multiple icons at once and change them.

There are several reason why this will not work.
