Black Screen with Cursor
I recently acquired a Dell Vostro running Windows 11, version 22H2. Unfortunately, upon attempting to power up my computer and access the Windows log-in screen, I encountered a persistent problem where only a black screen with a cursor was displayed. This issue has recurred every two to three months. I am seeking advice on how to resolve this recurring problem.

- Power on your PC and, when the Windows logo appears, force shutdown by holding the power button.
- Repeat this process 3 times; Windows will enter Automatic Repair.
- Select Advanced options > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
- After restart, press 4 or F4 to boot into Safe Mode.

Attempt to enter Safe Mode by holding down the Shift key whilst clicking “Restart”, then update or roll back the graphics driver.
