i have normal upgrade my pc from setting and after restart my icon was invisible from desktop.. after that i have contact to ms support team.. they access my pc by quick_support and done upgrade from...
Run CMD as administrator, type ie4uinit.exe -show to rebuild the icon cache, you can also reset the theme in Settings→Personalization→Themes.
