Any simple way to batch rename images on Windows in mass amount?

For batch renaming, Any2PIC is perfect. It’s easy to use, lets you add prefixes, suffixes, and sequential numbers, and keeps metadata like dates. Fast and great for large collections!

I wonder why Microsoft will not add bulk renaming as a standard feature, rather than forcing users to download separate software. Seems like a basic, commonly used process.
