Any good pc to android file transfer software that that actually works?
I’ve had similar issues with Phone Link. It’s convenient for notifications and quick sharing, but I wouldn’t rely on it for large backups or moving a lot of photos/videos.
For transferring big folders, I usually have better luck with a few simpler options:
Windows File Explorer + USB cable – still the most reliable method in many cases. Make sure the Android phone is unlocked and set to File Transfer (MTP) mode instead of “Charging only.”
LocalSend – a good wireless option if both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. It’s simple and doesn’t require cloud storage.
Syncthing – useful if you regularly want to keep folders synced between your PC and phone.
If USB keeps disconnecting, I’d also check the cable (many charging cables don’t handle stable data transfer), try another USB port, and avoid using a USB hub.
For a one-time backup of 20+ GB of photos and videos, I’d probably use a direct USB connection first, then use a sync tool if you need ongoing backups.
Hope this will be helpful.
