Any good folder locker for mac app to password protect a folder?
Creating an encrypted disk image is the most secure and native way to password-protect a folder on macOS. This is the built-in and best folder locker for mac users.
Steps:
1. Go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility (or search for it in Spotlight).
2. Click File > New Image > Image from Folder.
3. Select the folder you want to password-protect and click Choose.
4. Choose 128-bit or 256-bit AES encryption (256-bit is more secure).
5. Select "read/write" as the image format.
6. Enter a strong password (uncheck "Remember password in my keychain" for better security).
7. Save.
8. Double-click the new .dmg file, enter the password, and it will mount as a drive.
9. Eject it when done to lock it again.
