Getting started with PairDrop is incredibly simple, as it requires no setup or account creation to transfer pictures from iPhone to computer wirelessly.
1. Prepare Your Devices
- On your Windows Computer: Open any web browser (like Chrome, Edge, or Firefox).
- On your iPhone: Open Safari or any other browser you use.
2. Connect to the Same Network and Open the Link
- Ensure that your iPhone and your Windows PC are connected to the same Wi-Fi network . This is the most important step.
- On both devices, navigate to the same website: pairdrop.
3. Send the Pictures from Your iPhone
- Once the page loads on both devices, you will see them automatically appear on the screen. Your iPhone will be represented by an icon, and your computer will appear as another device with a randomly generated name .
- On your iPhone, tap the icon that represents your Windows computer.
- A menu will pop up. Tap "Photos" (or "Photo Library") to select pictures from your camera roll. For sending multiple files at once, PairDrop can even automatically pack them into a single ZIP file.
- Select the pictures and transfer pictures from iPhone to computer wirelessly.
4. Receive the Photos on Your Windows PC
- On your Windows PC, a pop-up notification will instantly appear showing that your iPhone wants to send you files .
- Click "Accept" to begin the transfer.
- The photos will be downloaded directly to your computer's default Downloads folder.
