An Unusual Green Arrow Beside a Disc Icon
Hello, I recently added a new internal SATA disk drive with Windows 11 on my HP Probook. I noticed there is a mysterious green arrow icon now displayed in my computer window. Would anyone happen to know the significance of this icon?

The green arrow icon is usually displayed for a short period, and once the optimization process is complete, the icon disappears. You can safely ignore this icon, as it's a normal part of the Windows 11 setup process.

If the drive has file compression or BitLocker encryption enabled, you can uncheck the Compress this drive to save disk space option.

A green arrow indicates that file compression or BitLocker encryption is enabled on this drive. You can view this by right-clicking and selecting Properties, then unchecking the “Compress this drive to save disk space” option.
