Activation mismatch

Hello, in the app Settings my Windows 11 Pro is active, as it has always been.

However, from a recent update of Windows 11 Pro Insider Preview I have got a message on the right bottom side of the desktop that says "Windows 11 Pro Insider Preview - Evalution copy. Build 26220.7961.ge_release_svc_betalift_prod1.260302-1739".

How can I get rid of it? Is there a risk of disactivation of Windows?

Upgrading from an Insider Preview to a stable build typically involves reinstalling or upgrading to the latest official Windows 11 release. This process is generally safe, but it's always recommended to back up your important data beforehand.

Your system is running a pre-release build of Windows, which may include experimental features.

  • That is basically a Desktop watermark showing the current build number.

It is very common on Insider Preview builds.

Rest assured, it is not affecting your Windows activation anyway.

All of my Insider Preview build machines have these watermarks on Desktop.

Also, updates doesn't affect your Windows activation.
