Accidentally deleted pictures from iphone and how to restore?

A few photos and images were accidentally deleted from my iPhone while cleaning up storage. Those pictures were important and now they are no longer visible in the Photos app. The Recently Deleted album was checked, but the photos are not there anymore, so it looks like they may have been permanently removed.

The iPhone has iCloud enabled, but it is not clear whether the photos were backed up before deletion. There may also be an old backup on a computer, but the correct method to restore the deleted pictures from iphone without losing current data is not known.

Is there any reliable way to restore deleted pictures from iPhone after they are permanently removed? Any suggestions about using iCloud backup, iTunes/Finder backup, or third-party recovery tools would be greatly appreciated.

Before restoring deleted pictures from iPhone, make a backup of your current data. Restoring from an old backup can erase recent photos and information.

If you're more technically comfortable and want maximum control over which specific build you get, UUP Dump is an excellent alternative that still pulls files from Microsoft.

Here's how to use UUP Dump to potentially restore deleted pictures from iPhone:

Important: Before proceeding, ensure you have a valid backup of your iPhone's data, either created.

    Requirements:

    • A PC with Windows 10 or later
    • UUP Dump software
    • A backup of your iPhone's data created

Steps to use UUP Dump to restore deleted pictures from iPhone:

    1. Download and install UUP Dump on your PC.
    2. Launch UUP Dump and select the iPhone backup you want to extract data from. This backup should have been created through iTunes or iCloud.
    3. UUP Dump will scan the backup and extract the contents. You might need to wait for a while, depending on the size of the backup.
    4. Once the extraction is complete, navigate to the extracted files and look for the "Photos" folder.
    5. Within the "Photos" folder, you'll find the deleted pictures you were looking for. You can copy them to your PC or import them back to your iPhone.

Using UUP Dump requires a valid backup of your iPhone's data, and it's essential to ensure the backup is not corrupted. Additionally, be aware that UUP Dump is a third-party tool, and its effectiveness may vary depending on your specific situation.

Using OneDrive to restore deleted pictures from iPhone can be a viable option, but it depends on whether you had previously enabled the iCloud Photos feature and enabled the "iCloud Photo Library" option on your iPhone. This option allows you to store your iPhone photos in iCloud, which is then synced to OneDrive if you've set up the OneDrive app on your iPhone.

To restore deleted pictures from iPhone using OneDrive, follow these steps:

    1. First, ensure that you have the OneDrive app installed on your iPhone and that you have enabled the "iCloud Photo Library" option on your iPhone. This allows your iPhone photos to be synced to iCloud and then to OneDrive.

    2. Open the OneDrive app on your iPhone and sign in with your Microsoft account.

    3. Navigate to the OneDrive folder on your iPhone where your photos are stored.

    4. Check the "Deleted Files" section to see if your deleted photos are still available.

    5. If your deleted photos are found in the "Deleted Files" section, select the ones you want to restore and choose the "Restore" option.

    6. Once you've restored deleted pictures from iPhone, they will be available in the OneDrive app on your iPhone and synced across all devices connected to your OneDrive account.

Please note that you need to have the iCloud Photo Library feature enabled on your iPhone and have it set up to sync with OneDrive for this method to work. Additionally, the availability of deleted files in the OneDrive app may vary depending on the account type and the duration for which deleted files are kept.

One last thing to check: open your Photos app → Albums → Recently Deleted. iOS keeps deleted photos here for 30 days before permanent removal . If your photos are still there, you can recover them instantly for free with no software needed.

Using Dropbox to restore deleted pictures from iPhone can be a helpful option if you had previously saved your photos to Dropbox. If you want to recover photos that you accidentally deleted from your iPhone, and those photos were synced or backed up to Dropbox, you can restore them directly from the app.

To do this, open the Dropbox app on your iPhone, navigate to the folder where your photos were stored, and check the "Deleted Files" section. Dropbox keeps deleted files for 30 days (or longer if you have a Plus or Business account), allowing you to restore deleted pictures from iPhone easily. Simply select the photos you want to recover and choose the restore option to bring them back to your Dropbox folder.

Once restored in Dropbox, you can download the photos back to your iPhone's Camera Roll or save them to your device. This method is useful because it doesn't require iCloud or iTunes backups and leverages a cloud service you might have already been using.

Remember, this only works if you had previously uploaded or synced your pictures to Dropbox before they were deleted from your iPhone. If you haven't used Dropbox for photo backup, this method won't be applicable for restoring deleted pictures from iPhone device.

If the photos are not in Recently Deleted and no backup exists, recovery becomes much more difficult. In that case, stopping phone usage immediately may improve the chances of recovery with professional recovery software.

If the iPhone has been backed up to a computer using Finder (Mac) or iTunes (Windows), the deleted pictures may still exist in that backup file. Restoring the device from a previous backup created before the photos were deleted can bring those images back to the iPhone.

For deleted pictures from iphone how to restore issue, another option is using iPhone data recovery software that can scan the device, iTunes backup, or iCloud backup for recoverable photos. These tools often allow previewing deleted pictures and restoring only the selected files instead of restoring the entire backup.

    Pros:

Can restore deleted photos from old iTunes/Finder backups.

Some recovery tools allow preview before restoring.

Possible to recover specific photos instead of the whole backup.

Works even when photos are not in the Recently Deleted folder.

    Cons:

Restoring a full backup may overwrite current data on the iPhone.

Many recovery tools are paid software.

Success rate depends on whether the photos still exist in the backup or device storage.

If the deleted pictures are no longer in the Recently Deleted album, restoring them from an iCloud backup may be possible. When iCloud Backup is enabled, the iPhone automatically saves photos and other data to iCloud. If the backup was created before the pictures were deleted, restoring the device from that backup can bring the missing photos back.

Deleted pictures from iphone how to restore:

Step 1: Open Settings on the iPhone.

Step 2: Tap General and select Transfer or Reset iPhone.

Step 3: Choose Erase All Content and Settings.

Step 4: Restart the device and begin the setup process.

Step 5: When reaching the Apps & Data screen, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

Step 6: Sign in with your Apple ID and choose a backup created before the photos were deleted.

Step 7: Wait for the restore process to complete.

Restoring from an iCloud backup is an effective way to restore deleted pictures from iphone if the backup was created before the deletion occurred. However, this process replaces the current data on the device with the data from the selected backup.
