Ability to disable or hide volume button in Windows 11 taskbar
I run the main computer systems in a local radio station, and we are currently running on very old machines running Windows 10.
As I also did all of the level adjust and calibration, I found that people really liked to mess with the volume slider and throw off the calibration all the time, so I disabled the volume icon with a group policy on the studio computers, and that has more or less fixed that. As far as I know, with the new Windows 11 taskbar, there is no way to get a similar functionality, and volume is always accessible.
We're planning on upgrading machines over the course of the year, but as long as that volume icon stays there, I am going to have a hard time moving those studio machines up to Windows 11.
