1709 and Dell XPS 18
Last night, thru Windows Update, downloaded and install the Fall update. Everything was going ok up until the reboot occurred and BIOS was reloading. Now I get a message that internal hard drive not found and to try re-seeding it. I will try that but wanted to give heads up. I can't imagine at that exact moment of upgrade that I had a hardware failure.

Re-seeding the HD didn't help. Looks like i'm buying a new HD.
FWIW that build installed fine on my XPS 18. I'd say you were just unlucky
