Unable to access Windows 365 settings in Endpoint Manager Admin Center

Dear community,

I am having an issue accessing the Windows 365 settings in the Endpoint Manager Admin Center. When I follow the guide provided by Microsoft (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-365/enterprise/assign-users-as-local-admin), I am unable to access the menu items due to a blocking banner. I have tried clicking the cross icon on the banner, but it takes me back to the home page (https://endpoint.microsoft.com/?ref=AdminCenter#home).

Is anyone else facing this issue? Is there any workaround?

I have contacted Microsoft support regarding this issue 2 weeks ago, but I haven't received any answer yet. I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance on how to resolve this issue.

Best regards,

Tobias

  • One more thing to check you have W365 enterprise license? As you don't get Intune blade this with W365 Business license.

It could be due to a lack of administrative privileges or an issue with your account's subscription. Try accessing the Endpoint Manager Admin Center using a different account with administrative privileges or check if your subscription is up to date.

It was a licensing issue. I've set up a trial for Windows 365 BUSINESS. I would have needed W365 Enterprise.

Thank you for you reply. I am trying to give myself the same permissions. Unfortunately I cannot see the same role groups as you do, they seem to be missing. I have opened Endpoint Manager as Global Administrator. Do you know why these two RBAC Groups are missing?

      Best regards,

Make sure you have the necessary license for Windows 365 if not start a trial. Go under admin.microsoft.com and add the necessary license. Once you have the license you will be able to perform the necessary actions under MEM portal.
