More than 30 minutes to install a language pack?
Happy new year to everyone. Is it normal that the Windows 365 PC , 2 core with 8GB RAM takes more than 30 minutes (still running) to install a language pack? I see lots of online discussi...
Having tested with a W10 22H2 x86 VM this morning, I've had a fair bit of success with:
- Open Powershell 7, presumably with admin rights, and preferably in Windows Terminal if wanting to install multiple languages in quick succession (since it has multiple tabs).
- Run "Install-Language -Language (The locale's ISO code without these brackets)". For instance, for French, "Install-Language -Language fr-FR".
It has taken me around 5min per language for ones with full language support, and 2min for ones with much less support (e.g. Icelandic). Certainly a big improvement compared to the 50min per language on my end when using Windows Settings.
