End of Publisher

Why does Publisher have to die 2025? There is nothing out there that has the same facility to fine control, place the position and appearance of text with the freedom to put and control how images standby the text. I have developed several applications that are only possible with Publisher, so they are now doomed for the scrapheap?
Or do you know better?
