We did wonder if it would clash. Our feeling was to leave the profile setting the TRV in place whilst we transition to Win11 and then remove it 🙂
Happy to remove now though as it's on extra thing to manage.
There was an issue back at the end of 2020 where co-managed (between MECM and Intune) devices would go and grab the later OS if a TRV wasn't set, hence we implemented it via a config profile using the Settings Catalog.
Like I say though, happy to remove it going forward.
Question: if we cancel all deployments of the Config Profile that is setting the TRV to 21H2, will device blank out the value when they call back in to Intune for policy?

Mar 17, 2022That's a great question. I'm not sure and will ask to find out what happens when you remove a specific policy setting, and what it sets the client to... I'm not sure... so to be safe, I'd leave the setting in the configuration policy, but set the value to a blank/empty string. Once you are confident that change has been deployed to all your devices, then it's definitely safe to remove the configuration policy.
