Server 2022 lost RDgateway role during install of March Updates, what would cause that bug?

We had the exact same thing occur in our site this past weekend, both of our Connection Broker servers running on Windows Server 2022 uninstalled the connection broker role services after applying the March update. It took us a short while to figure out that the services were missing, because who in their right mind would suspect a server uninstalling a role by itself?
