Internet Explorer won't open

After an update I cannot open Internet Explorer.

I require this application to monitor CCTV on the local network that uses a script that won't run in any other browser. Yes, I have tried.

I have been able to disable some of the earlier attempts to nobble IE and force me onto Edge, which I do use but not for this purpose.

At the moment, the app opens and then closes immediately, is there any way I can run a stand-alone Internet Explorer without MS doing its best to stop me?
