Microsoft outlook and administrator

My outlook keeps asking me for a password. I have tried every password I have used and none are correct. I contacted Microsoft and apparently, they need to change something so that I can become the administrator. Otherwise, I can't change the password.  Well, now, I can't get in touch with Microsoft and don't know where my old IT guy is that set it up.

How do I become administrator so that I can change my password?

Thanks

  • Hello RhondaJ52,

Assuming you're on Windows 10, if your account is a standard account, only another administrator present on the system can make you admin. However, you can change password yourself unless restricted by admin via policy settings or by your organization (if your system is connected to).

    Regards.
