File Type Associations
Why is there still not a way to set file type associations via Group Policy?

Is the DISM export the recommended method now and not the GPP option that was suggested above? I'm trying the GPP option with Windows 10 1607 now and not seeing it work at all.

Joe, can you please file a Windows feedback issue for this? We'd like to follow up.

Should I just submit it using the Feedback Hub app or is there a better way?

Hey Joe, the standard way would be to configure file assoc. and export it to a file that can implemented into GP. Some more info can be found here : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/dism-default-application-association-servicing-command-line-options Have you tried that ? - Janani VasudevanFormer EmployeeAre you looking for something different? Would love to understand
- Janani VasudevanFormer EmployeeHi Joe, we do have the group policy for this and we also added a MDM policy recently for this. http://www.grouppolicy.biz/2011/09/how-to-use-group-policy-to-change-open-with-file-associations/
