"Do not display 'Install Updates and Shut Down' option in Shut Down Windows dialog box" - Windows 10

Good Morning,

Background info:

OS: Mix of Windows 10 21H2 (typo!) and 22H2

Updates: Managed by Endpoint Central

Devices affected: a handful so far

Issue: a few users have started to see "update and shut down" in the shutdown menu of Windows 10. We have a legacy GPO in place that should hide those options from being displayed but I've seen conflicting posts from Microsoft on whether it actually works on Windows 10.

Our users seeing this, shouldn't and I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the way our GPO's are configured that is allowing this message to be displayed but another concern is how these updates are being downloaded/installed when it's not set to use WSUS to manage Windows updates.

So my question is, has anyone ever come across this before and/or successfully disabled the update & shut down messages on Windows 10?

Many thanks

Dan
