There's two ways to activate windows 10 now, digital and the use of a product key.
The digital comes from a chip probably on the Motherboard, and the only difference betwn the two is cosmetic, i.e. some personalization functions will not work. however you can fo the the Activation screen in win 10 and add a Microsoft Account and shezam, it's all good.
