Will enabling Autopatch automatically place devices in groups?

So we're looking at enabling Windows Autopatch in our environment but we want to control adding users to all of the groups. I'm interested in leveraging the automated groups created via the enrollment process but I don't want all of our machines automatically added. Is this possible or will devices be added without my intervention? Thanks!

Once you enroll your tenant into Autopatch, devices will not be registered until you decide that you are ready to add them. The enrollment process sets up the required configuration in your tenant, ready for you to choose your preferences and then add devices when you are ready.

You may also wish to enable the Autopatch groups preview once you have enrolled your tenant, which provides you with options to manage Autopatch device registration through your existing AAD groups. Please take a look at Register your devices - Windows Deployment | Microsoft Learn.

Autocorrect mode does not cause devices to be clustered
