Thinking forward about trending and mapping organization hierarchies

How is our ability to trend data in our next survey impacted by changes coming to our organization after our current survey? This is specifically what we are thinking about:

  • Organization names within the departmental hierarchy change (Global Distribution to Distribution, for example)
  • Reorganizations take place (Example 1 – Distribution Retail and Distribution Institutional were once separate organizations, but today they are one organization called Distribution. If we sent a survey out pre- and post those changes, how would we be able to compare results for those groups across multiple surveys? Example 2 – Global Technology & Investment Operations splitting apart into two separate organizations – Technology and then Investment Operations.)
  • An organization moves from a Group (level 2) to an Organization (level 1) or vice versa – can we easily trend pre- and post those changes?

  • Hello KatieBarber,

I know we talked about this on our recent Office Hours, but wanted to respond here as well for others to see. For the organizational changes that you have outlined below, it would be best practice to coach the customer on how to view each specific data set for each cycle.  The customer would not see trend directly on the recent survey, however by viewing the data across the multiple surveys they would be able to see associated trend data.
