list of questions regarding glint

Hi Community,

I have a small list of questions on behalf of a client, that i was hoping someone could help my answer.

- Does historical survey data follow the employee when they switch teams/departments/manager etc. or does their previous survey answers stay in their previous department? Likewise, wht happens to historical data when two departments are merged, or for example when a department is split into 2 departments, and does the system register the department as being the same if we change the name? Essentially the question is regarding the movement of data when changes are made to the environment.

- Regarding eNPS scores is it recommended to remove them from surveys or can we change the scoring? because they range from -100 to 100 instead of 0 to 100 it is messing with the heat map.

- How many answers to a survey do we need in order to get a company score? does it need to be across multiple teams and departments?

- In the broader teams insights can the manager accessing the report see data only for the direct reports of their manager or data for all people in the heirarchy under this manager?

- regarding team conversations, are their multiple templates to choose between, and can we for exampleupload our own or costumize the existing ones?

- Is it possible to give access to an IT employee so that they can have access to all typees of settings without them having "admin access" so that they don't have access to sensitive data?

Thank you for the help!

Does historical survey data follow the employee when they switch teams/departments/manager etc. or does their previous survey answers stay in their previous department? Likewise, wht happens to historical data when two departments are merged, or for example when a department is split into 2 departments, and does the system register the department as being the same if we change the name? Essentially the question is regarding the movement of data when changes are made to the environment. Data follows the manager in the Glint platform, not the employee. The platform freezes the organizational data once a survey is launched so even if a department is split the data stays in tact for historical surveys. If the name of the department is changed, the trend is broken, however I expect in a future release, there will be the ability to change the name of historical attributes.

Regarding eNPS scores is it recommended to remove them from surveys or can we change the scoring? because they range from -100 to 100 instead of 0 to 100 it is messing with the heat map. If you are going to use eNPS, you cannot remove it from the reporting, but you can filter based on question to leave that question out of the heat map. Glint methodology doesn’t strongly recommend using eNPS.

How many answers to a survey do we need in order to get a company score? does it need to be across multiple teams and departments? This depends on the confidentiality threshold, which is set at 5 by default. There is not threshold for specific teams or departments for a company score.

In the broader teams insights can the manager accessing the report see data only for the direct reports of their manager or data for all people in the heirarchy under this manager? It depends on how this is set up. There are two options: Directs Only or Roll Up Hierarchy so this depends on how BTI was configured for the role.

Regarding team conversations, are their multiple templates to choose between, and can we for example upload our own or customize the existing ones? Only the content can be customized, not the slides, order, or graphics on the slides. There is one template and not currently the ability to upload a custom template.

Is it possible to give access to an IT employee so that they can have access to all types of settings without them having "admin access" so that they don't have access to sensitive data? An IT employee, or the global tenant admin, can be removed from the Company Admin role if desired. Then, if the customer would like them to have access to specific areas of Viva Glint, they’ll need to create a specific user role and decide which settings the IT employee should have access to.

Thank you for the swift response!

I have a few follow up questions.

      - If a team gets a new manager, how will that affect the historical data, as the data always follows the manager?

      - Regarding IT access, it seems that we can't grant them access to for example advanced configurations without admin access, is there a solution for this?

      Thanks,
