Is the restricted posting feature being removed from Viva Engage communities?

I've heard on the grapevine that Microsoft are planning to remove the option to restrict posts in Viva Engage communities. Is this true or is this an action that can be led by the tenant?

From everything I can see, Microsoft has not announced the removal of the restricted-posting feature in Viva Engage. The option is still documented and supported, and there’s no official communication suggesting it’s being phased out. Any rumor you heard is likely just speculation. For now, posting restrictions are still fully controlled at the tenant or community-admin level, so your organization decides whether the feature is enabled or not.
