Disabling Viva Engage Email Notifications to specific accounts
- Sep 18, 2024You can create a mailrule in Outlook Admin!

Hello, many thanks for this questions- is there truly no way to exclude shared mailboxes from this by using a configuration: or a place for tenant wide control and steer the types of notifications that viva engage is causing. In this way I must create a rule for every single shared mailbox, and this seems like a workaround that is not sustainable. I assumed only licensed users are affected by viva engage- not shared mailboxes. What is a tenant administrator to do for using viva engage, or do users consider this a no go for using the platform at all?

It boggles my mind that this product is built for enterprise and lacks an administrative function to stop e-mails from being generate within the service. If a user (management) has delegated mailbox access to their mailbox (assistant) and uses Viva Engage's private groups, you leak information that should be private in these daily/weekly digests to that party.
