Hello - I was able to replicate the issue you described. And I believe I found the cause and solution. Here are my steps.
- Created an objective and assigned Owner 1
- Created a key result in the new objective and assigned Owner 1
- Changed the owner in the OKR dashboard for both items to Owner 2
- Set the filter to Owner 1 and Owner 2 still appeared (just as you described)
- Clicked the Edit button next to the Objective and the right panel opened
- Saw Owner 1 still assigned as the "Check-in owner" and replaced with Owner 2 and saved
- Repeated step 6 for the key result as well
- Set the filter to Owner 1 and no results appeared, as expected
It looks like it's not a glitch but by design. I believe the reason is that just because the Owner changes doesn't mean that the check-in owner should also change. There is a circumstance out there where this division of duties is necessary, however uncommon.
I checked and there is not yet a way to automatically change the check-in owner when the overall owner is changed. In the future, just remember to change those Owner values as well.
