notifications delay
Normally it is marked that a person should receive a notification 15 to 20 minutes after publishing a post. However, my colleagues receive notifications of my posts by email about 12 hours later. Can...
- Microsoft made a change in December whereby Announcement emails are delayed 2 hrs from when the Announcement is created - and where the email doesn't deliver if the user reads the message already on the web/teams/mobile. Community admins can use Essential Announcements to have the email go immediately like it used to.
That doesn't explain your scenario, though.
Is the person receiving the notification following the person who posted (e.g. storyline notifications)?
Have they selected to opt-in to receive emails of all posts in a community?
