jpeg not working when publishing to teams

when publishing a message to teams images are removed unless they are in png format

all stock images from the selector are not working on teams

is there any known limitation?

    This does appear to be a known issue among the Viva community, but it's not officially published anywhere by Microsoft. I've seen other threads on Tech Community about this as well as the MS Learn community. I've also experienced it myself when testing.

    The only workaround is to use your own stock library and only use PNG images. Alternatively, you can choose to remove Teams as a distribution channel, but I know that isn't helpful if your audience is in Teams more often than SharePoint or Outlook.
