ToDo adding Note symbol to all tasks in ToDo Android

For several days it seems all my new entries in the Android app (but not on the web in Chrome) now display a "Note" / attachment symbol attached to them, and I can't seem to stop this or get rid of the symbol. As a result all my tasks now take up more an extra line in the app on my phone.

Anyone else have this, or know a solution?

Thanks.

Same problem recently appeared for me (Pixel 4a running Android 11). Looks like a bug that Microsoft will need to fix.

I am having the same issue. I want to actually add a note to a new task, but there is no way to do this. Microsoft, HELP!

I've noticed that items on my to do list that have a note icon do not actually have notes. These item also do not have a field in which to add or edit a note.

If I select an item without the note icon, there is a field to add a note. When I add a note, the note icon appears. If I open the item and delete the note, the note icon remains and the note field disappears.

Yessss I am having the same issue and I know it's only a small issue but it's kinda driving me crazy haha, takes up more space and I can't tell now which tasks actually have a note in it

Really annoying! It was working just fine, Adding a task through Microsoft Launcher has the same effect, it adds that paper sign next to my tasks even though I haven't really added any note
