Why is "remind me" set separately from the event date?

Every time I add a new task, I need to set a reminder date. This raises several questions:

1. Why should I always specify the same date in the calendar? If the event occurs in 3 months, then I need to look for the date twice. First the event date, then the notification date.

2. What if I need to remind about the event several times? How can I do this? No way!

The notification should not be made as a calendar. But as "on the day of the event", "tomorrow", "the day before the event", a week before, and so on. And the ability to set multiple reminders.

If the event is set to repeat, then the notification date also needs to be moved.
