ToDo irresponsive on Mac

I've been having problems with the ToDo app on my Mac since many months (After one of the many updates). There seems to be several persisting Bugs even after un-installing the app, deleting the UBF8... folder, restarting the machine and re-installing the app.

Here is the observed behaviour:
- The app opens in its home page (I am not asked to access or sign-in)

- Everything is on its default (default folders, default lists and no tasks)

- In the top left corner instead of showing my profile picture, in see an ashtag "#" symbol, as indeed I was not signed-in.

- Adding a task and pressing Enter results in no action (input bar is cleared out but no task is added to the list)

- Trying to do Menu->Preferences or Menu->Account ends up with no response.
However, when trying to do Menu->Account I get no response from the app.

Additional informations:
Pre-existing tasks show properly in my iPhone app and in the right bar of my outlook mail in my browser.
