I couldn't agree more. I don't understand why you get rid of something that had been the standard for years and worked perfectly. Microsoft is notorious for replacing things and the replacement does not do half of what the original app did. The new Outlook is another prime example.

Microsoft loves to keep the customers asking for more. They love to create a new useless applications (Loop, Yammer, Sway, Project, Planner, Forms, OneNote, Lists, To-do list) while the current ones have needed updates for years. Most of them do a lot of the same actions, but none of them link together, so you have to manually update them all.
