To Do daily check list

I created a checklist of things I want to do every day.  When I check an item off the list it reappears as being due tomorrow.  Is there a way to hide this item until tomorrow?  In other words, I'd like to see all my tasks cleared for the day, and for the notifications in the list on the side to go to zero until the next day.

Is this possible?
