Sometimes keyboard focus is not on a list created from a group

When I right-click on a group and select to create a new list, the new list gets created and the keyboard cursor is in the name of the list, ready for the new name to be entered. But in my experience, half of the time this does not work; the list gets created and added to the end of the lists in that group, but it does not have the keyboard focus. I need to use the mouse to select the list, and then edit the list name.
