Skip Occurrence of Repeating Task

Is anyone aware of a way to skip an occurrence of a repeating task in Microsoft To Do?  I am trying to use the app for all aspects of my life and sometimes need to skip... like daily exercise.   I would prefer not to mark it complete, but to mark it skipped so it still rolls to the next date the item is due.

I agree!!! I would like to vote100,000 times "like" on this! Please add this feature instead of going back to outlook to "skip occurrence"!

Can't you just open the task the next day and click "Skip to current task"?

If you don't want to wait till the next day to mark it as skipped, my workaround is to add a step called something like "Skipped". Then I can tick that and tick the task, and I don't feel like I'm saying I've done something that I didn't.

I initially could not agree more.  I like having a neat and complete task list at the end of a day, even if there are items I'd like to skip, and I have a fair number of recurring tasks that don't all get done every single day.  While there is no formal "skip this" option, I have found that booting a recurring task to the next day simply shifts the "next" occurrence of that task to the next day, instead of having 2 instances of that recurring task on that following day.  I don't know if I'd call it a workaround, but it's essentially skipping that task for the day.
