Microsoft To Do US Date Format

So I try to create a task with the date 03/12/2022  so using UK date format

I then set a reminder to remind me every 6 months. However as you can see it auto sets the due date as today.. so I suspect it thinks I mean 12th March 2022 which is in the past.

 

I logged onto my office.com account and set my regional settings to the UK and restarted Windows hower I still have the same problem?

    Oh once I marked it as complete it created it again with the right date..very odd but it's kind of workig
