Microsoft To Do – Cannot join shared lists between two personal Microsoft accounts

I am experiencing exactly the same issue here.

Both accounts are personal Microsoft accounts, but joining a shared Microsoft To Do list fails with the same error message.

Sharing lists used to work without any problems. It appears that this may be a broader issue with the Microsoft To Do sharing service rather than an individual account configuration problem.

I hope Microsoft investigates and resolves this issue soon.
