many problems with Wunderlist-import

I tried an import from my wunderlist a year ago. Nothing worked.
I had a completely messed up MS To Do with some lists and tasks, but many were missing.

So i decided to keep wunderlist and deleted all things from MS To Do.

But now MS kills wunderlist. So I gave it a second try. But the import ist still not working, but now there are more problems.

1st I have many folders (all empty), that cannot be deleted. No, they CAN be deleted,, but they are coming back after a second or a day. And they only show up in the web version. Only if I put a list into them, they are appearing in Windows oder MacOS up. But if I deleted them after this procedure, they are resurrecting, too.

2nd MS To Do imported many duplicates. HUNDREDS of duplactes. If I have a list "list" in wunderlist, now I have "list (1)", "list (2)", ... "list (500)" (500!) in MS To Do. Of course all are empty.

I tried to delete them, but is a pain! And of course some of them only appear in the web version. some only in the app.

3rd MS To Do did not import any tasks. The tasks are the basic information, I want to keep. But they are gone. (still have wunderlist, but how long?)

Any idea, what to do?

I already deleted all things in MS Todo (the zombiegroups of course come back all the time), cleaned up my wunderlist (only lists, no groups, ...) and tried reimport. Nothing changed.

Any idea? At the moment I am forced to change but have no working way. If nothing works, I have to go to todoist or some other service with working wunderlist import.

Same!   Microsoft, please step in.   How do we clear the ToDo data and start over (and have it work right?)

why do you think, they will step in now?

They did not fix it since they started the import-program. Now all people did find their solution.

All people I know here switched to todoist or some smartphone-apps without sync-feature.

I think todoist should send flowers and a "thank you"-card to MS. Because MS paid a lot of money to give todoist a lot of new users / customers 🙂

And for us MS could at least explain, why they are unable to develop a working import-function between their own services. Others had no problems developping this piece of software.

Hi - Did you come right with this?  I'm experiencing similar and currently incensed with the issues importing from Wunderlist to MS To Do.

After considerable time it seemed my Wunderlist folders transferred without (to much) issue.   Now they are all either empty or have few items in them.

I can't install the To Do list app on my laptop as the operating system is too old and I can't upgrade it so I'm accessing it via the on line version ... which is very far from ideal.

    What have you done?

    🙂  (well trying to)

my solution is todoist: import done in seconds without any problems. I happy with it.

Thank you ... I'll do the same.   It's a very long time since I've felt this angry.
