iOS natural language processing is not that helpful

I was using To Do on my iPad which I sometimes do and realized that it was doing some NLP. But instead of converting it, it makes little pop up buttons. I am typing on my keyboard so i have to stop and click/touch on the suggested buttons. It does not really save any time vs. just manually adding a date. This is a FAIL as implemented on iOS, I am not sure how it works on Windows. None on Mac or web.

Have others tried it on iPhone or iPad?
