Group by Category disappeared
In Outlook, go to View then click on To-Do Bar and ensure that the Tasks view is enabled. You should see your tasks on the right hand side. On top of this list, there is a setting called "Arrange by:". Click on that, then click on View Settings. Click on the second button, which is Group By. Unclick "Automatically group according to arrangement".
Finally, in the Group items by, select Due Date. And in the Then by section, select Categories. Click OK.
This custom setup will bring back the group by categories function, if only in Outlook... good luck.
toleanne Thanks for the feedback. I can't really figure out how to do what you're saying. To get the ToDo bar in my Outlook Desktop, I have to flip the switch that says "Try the new Outlook". But when I do that and hit the ToDo bar it just opens up ToDo on the web. When I select Tasks on the left site menu there is no option to Arrange By. There is a Sort button on the upper right, but that doesn't have
But I'm guessing this solution would not allow me to share the task list with others and have them be able to sort it by Category. The only reason I was using ToDo was because you can share the list. Unfortunately, without Group by Category, it's useless to me. I feel like the feature was added recently and then deleted recently. I sure hope MS is planning to bring it back.
