Formatting Microsoft To-Do note section when using it via desktop

I just want to echo HelenSutton's frustration. It would make such a huge difference to the larger Microsoft suite if the various teams managing different platforms coordinated their efforts. Maybe interoperability across services like ToDo <-> OneNote might be too much to hope for, but surely within the same program the Android people and the Desktop app people could come up with a shared plan.
Text formatting for To Do on Desktop is clearly the sort of thing Microsoft is never going to do and it just exemplifies why every time I or a co-worker tries to use a Microsoft product, we eventually just give up and go back to Google products.
