Feature request: Add to My Day (Tomorrow)
I love the Add to My Day feature. I love that it disappears when the day is done. It's fantastic. But it only works for that day. I believe there is evidence that setting up a daily list the night before is more effective for productivity.
I would like to request a feature for Microsoft To Do: Add to My Day (Tomorrow). This would be just like Add to My Day, except that the item would appear as already added to my day when tomorrow arrives. That's it.
This is different from setting a due date of tomorrow. It's just putting it on tomorrow's My Day list. It may or not be due, but it's on the list.

- EA_RPMCommonwealthCopper ContributorMuch needed feature! Would vastly improve productivity as you can start your workday "hitting the ground running" vs. having to pause to set up your list. This would also help any roll-over tasks: if you know you can't get to something on your list today, but you want to tackle it tomorrow.
- MyUsername1234Copper ContributorOne thing I found that works is put it on the list and make it repeat and it will show the next day.
- MyUsername1234Copper ContributorCompletely agree. Great program I use it a lot. But can't make a My Day list for the next day. Once midnight strikes it disappears. It would be great to be able to add things the day before so you can add things throughout the whole day.

gtuckerkellogg Absolutely it would be a great enhancement. I don't want to really plan 2days, just as many commenter here the next day at the end of the day.
So much, that for a workaround, I installed an instance to a device, where I changed my timezone 6 hours ahead. On that device I can plan my next day after 6 pm 🙂

fidvader what a clever idea! So you have like a second mobile phone where you changed the timezone, working with todo app and still see all items on your main device at the correct local time?

This is a GREAT idea! I would really like to see this feature added as well.

Hi! gtuckerkellogg
I completely agree that they should add these feature however I did find a work around that I wanted to share! I created a My Day (Tomorrow) List. I plan my day in this list and the morning of it is pretty quick and easy to use the "Add to My Day" feature to move everything over. I hope this helps!

__courtneyj thanks for sharing. I work with multiple lists for my different projects/goals. Using this workaround would mean I shift tasks out of the project list which would makes a mess in my task management.

Thanks Courtney & Rhienliebe
I tried this out, but... I have so many sources that tasks come from, that it becomes a lot more work to do this. Especially tasks from planner for example.
The system is such low quality. Cohesion across products is very lacking delivering poor user experiences.
Currently I have to put due dates on the sub task list, and as each subtask checked off, I set the next one's due date as the Due Date for the whole task. Works for tasks where I am the only person on it...... but where it is a shared task from planner for example - it screws it up for everyone else, so I can't always do this. This does catch me out
In the Notes section I keep the "Real Due Date" for the activity/project and just have to keep a watch on that.
I am finding that when I do this - at least the "Planned" section is reasonably useful. Again the system just creates more work for us..... especially for say planner or outlook tasks, or the new "Boards".
