I ended up going back to Todoist. I lost the ability for Outlook flagged emails to go into my task list and to see Planner tasks in one place, but To Do is too limited and not getting any new development. It is sad that in a personal productivity area that nearly every Microsoft user has some needs that they don't invest more. But alas it does not generate revenue. I wonder what @Satya Nadella uses?
